Why Yoga in a Chiropractic Office?
Dr. Putnam discovered the benefits of yoga personally and began to look at it through the lens of a physical medicine physician. She realized yoga can be subtle or demanding and therefore can be applied to almost all body types. Different poses highlight muscle imbalances and yoga becomes a diagnostic tool. Other poses offer rehabilitative qualities that are especially good for stabilizing spine and joint conditions. Yoga as a class may not be for everyone, yet, Dr. Putnam’s ability to see injury and rehabilitation with the influence of yoga broadens healing avenues for those who have not previously considered it for themselves.
