In Response to Covid-19

We have paused all large group yoga classes at The Bend.  Instead, we are currently available for individual, private yoga classes and small groups of up to 6 people. We take your health and the health of your loved ones seriously.  We provide a safe, clean environment. We wear masks in the office and we practice frequent hand washing and safe distancing.  If you’re avoiding the gym due to Covid concerns, we invite you to join us at The Bend at Whitefish to continue your yoga practice with one-on-one private sessions, or in very small groups of up to 6 people.

Our Yoga Philosophy

Being an outdoor enthusiast, Dr. Putnam understands that our adventurous Montana lifestyle can lead to aches & pains and injuries. Working with a chiropractor means you receive the best yoga program designed specifically to rehabilitate or reduce the likelihood of injury, or exacerbate an existing injury. Dr. Putnam’s ability to see injury and rehabilitation with the influence of yoga broadens healing avenues for those who have not previously considered it for themselves.

Dr. Putnam discovered the benefits of yoga personally and began to view it through the lens of a physical medicine physician. She realized yoga can be both subtle or demanding and therefore can be applied to almost all body types. Whatever your injury, body type or level of experience, our goal is the same for everyone: to keep you as pain free and active as possible.  Call us now at 406-888-6044 to talk to Dr. Putnam about your mind and body goals, or to schedule an appointment or a yoga class.

COVID CONSCIOUS

We take your health and the health of your loved ones seriously.  We provide a safe, clean environment. We wear masks in the office and we practice frequent hand washing and safe distancing.  If you’re avoiding the gym due to Covid concerns, we invite you to join us at The Bend at Whitefish to continue your yoga practice with one on one private sessions, or in very small groups of up to 4.

INDIVIDUAL YOGA

Everyone has individual needs and abilities. Whether you are a beginning yoga student or committed to growing a life-long practice Dr. Putnam will work with you to make yoga work for your body and mind. She will introduce you to basic yoga postures and techniques, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions and experience how it feels while Dr. Putnam focuses on the specific needs of your body.

SMALL GROUP YOGA

Is Covid keeping you from your yoga practice? Don’t let it! Yoga improves your physical and mental well-being in times of stress and uncertainty. We invite you and 2 or 3 of your friends to enjoy yoga in a clean, safe, Covid conscious space.  Dr. Erika will tailer your small group yoga class to your level, anywhere from beginning to advance. Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to fill out our consent form. Please wear your mask when you enter The Bend.

New to Yoga?

Yoga is a wonderful way to feel better, get stronger, center your mind, become more aware of your body, alleviate stress, and become more relaxed. And the best part is that age and body type doesn’t matter.  You’re never too young or too old to start practicing yoga. If you are unsure where to start or have concerns about whether or not yoga is for you, join a class or take a private lesson.

Is Yoga for Me?

Yoga is for everyone, whether you are coordinated or not, short or tall, an athlete or a couch potato. It is accessible to all body types, shapes, and ages. Consider yoga if you are seeking health and wellness and want to improve your physical and mental wellbeing. Yoga can be as restful or as rigorous as you want it to be and modification can be provided for most body types and health conditions. The benefits include core strengthening, toning, improved balance, and feeling more relaxed and connected to your physical and emotional body.

Helpful Tips for First Time Guests:

  • Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early before your first class to fill out new member consent form.
  • Wear something comfortable. Layers may be best.
  • Bring a mat if you have one or we have a few to loan or purchase.
  • Bring a water bottle (with lid) and towel.
  • Let the teacher know about any health issues or concerns before class. If you have a serious injury, medical condition or are pregnant, please check with your physician before beginning yoga.
  • We are here to help.  Ask us anything or email us.
